The international development of La main à la pâte
Since its inception, the French program for primary science education renewal La main à la pâte has been working with partners from different countries to disseminate inquiry-based education. Several strategies have been used to develop international cooperation with about 30 countries, from the poorest to the richest, and from the most to the less structured educational systems. This diversity enables to compare different approaches in order to identify the relevant factors of a successful international cooperation in education as well as the typical difficulties it raises. This talk will focus on several case studies, according to the experience of La main à la pâte, in order to show the main issues at stake when dealing with international cooperation in education.
